A Proud History
The Western Cape is the source of rowing in South Africa, its origins being coastal in the famous Table Bay. Currently, only one club remains from Table Bay - Alfred's Rowing Club, which complied an engrossing club history.

Western Cape Rowing is based in three locations:

The majority of Clubs, Schools, and a University utilize Zeekoevlei - Grassy park.

Align Dam, in Grabouw, is set behind the Hottentots Holland Mountain range, an exquisite location.

Cape Coastal rowing, have set about reviving coastal rowing, with much assistance from Derek Reid, and are based in Simon's Town.
